Meh.

I'm changing my layout again. I want a a one column layout showing only my entries, or a really simple one. So far, I have to choose from 1O good layouts I found on the Web.

Ew.

The heat is starting to kill me. I feel like it's somewhere in the mid of April. Jeez, April hasn't even started yet. I wonder how "hot" April would be.

I've been thinking.

I should probably stop jumping into conclusions because I don't want to be hurt again. He's really a different guy. I've known him since I was in 6th grade but it's only know that we got to talk. He's funny, in a quiet way, and he's really really nice. I've like him since I was in 6th grade although it's just know that I've realized how much I really really like him, and that he's the only man who feels me in a different way. I feel him like he's a big brother when I talk to him, and the first we did, we instantly click. We have a lot of similarities, and we share the same feeling in almost everything. He means more than the world to me. I love him. <3

Earth Hour 'o9

After participating in last year's Earth Hour, I was pretty excited for another Earth Hour. Last year, it was only our house who did Earth Hour in our neighborhood. I'm glad that this year, more people have heard about it and joined the said event.

So, there I was waiting for 8:30 when majority of our neighbors' house got dark. Seriously! They were way early. Probably excited. We switched our lights at precisely 8:30. I used the official website's timer to be accurate enough.

Everyone was pretty excited and proud of themselves for participating Earth Hour. I went outside our house and talked with a few of my neighbors to kill time.

9:30 came, and it was bright again. Or so I thought. It was only OUR HOUSE. Our neighbors way overdid Earth Hour. But since it's for a good cause, I don't exactly think they're being hyperbole or a hypocrite upon doing that.

So that was my Earth Hour. (:

Typical.

Some reasons why I update my blog almost everyday:

1.) I have nothing better to do.

2.) I spend all my time in front of the computer.
3.) I just find myself clicking "New Post"
.

Lists.

Today is the happiest day of my life, for three main reasons:

1.) School is OFFICIALLY over. It's the recognition day!
2.) I wouldn't have to go to school, practice for the awarding and waste a uniform.
3.) I can finally enjoy and feel the summer.

On the other hand, I'm sad for lots of stuff:

1.) It would be 2 months before I see my friends again.
2.) I'm not joining the PSYSC Youth Summer camp, meaning NO summer activity at all.
3.) My Mom didn't allow me to have piano lessons/guitar lessons with Kuya Maurice. She changed her mind last night.
4.) I might be getting my braces soon.
5.) He's graduating tomorrow.

See how the negatives can overpower the positives?

Some stuff I'm looking forward to:

1.) Card giving on Monday. Curiosity is killing me as to what happened to my grades. Plus, I get to go to school and see some of my friends!
2.) Frans' birthday on May 15th. It's still a month and two weeks before that happens, but I can't wait for me. Oh please. I just hope my Mom will not say no! :(
3.) The official start of my soy milk diet. I learned from Jolo that soy milk makes a person grow taller! It's worth a try. Meh. My Mom is a non-believer. :/
4.) Tinig Agustino's out on Monday! :D

Some things I'm happy for this summer:

1.) I won't get to see their ugly faces for two whole months.
2.) I'd have time to fix my cyber accounts.
3.) I'd take the two months as time to change myself, for the better.
4.) I'll get a big break from school stuff.
5.) I won't be pressured and hassled for all the school work I have to do.

Some things I'm NOT glad about this summer:

1.) It's too hot. I feel like I'm going to get dehydrated if I don't drink water every half hour.
2.) NO FOOD, NO ALLOWANCE, NO MONEY! :(
3.) I won't be able to get out of the house since our maid is not yet home, and my Grandma doesn't have anyone to accompany her.
4.) The only way we'll get to talk is through YM, but he's seldom online. And if he is, he's always busy doing who knows what.
5.) I have no major activity = gaining weight because of endless computer and sleeping.

Making lists are fun. I'll do another one of these soon.

Thank you

Just a few more days and my sophomore life is over. Oh wait. It IS over. Although I still count the recognition practices as part of being a sophomore. After all, it counts. 2 more days, and I'm to bid farewell to my second year life.

Oh, I sound so melodramatic.

When I was still a freshmen, I was not ecstatic to be a second year student, mostly because I have no idea what to expect. Our teachers were great, I loved my section, subjects aren't bad at all. What was I going to expect next year? It's a big blank. If only I could ask all my first year teachers to teach in second year. I wasn't ready.

Second year life started (I feel a sense of deja vu, since I already posted about something like this), then it ended.

Before, I used to think that the 10 months would be treacherous, and agonizing. I imagined hell.

But once again, I was wrong.

Instead, that ten months seemed so short for the everyday things we experienced. The endless jokes, teasings, singings, laughings, eatings, dancings. Every -ing's.

It's like, today, this is the best day of my life thanks to Magdalene. Tomorrow, it's the better than best day of my life because of Magdalene. Everyday beats the other day and each time we reminisce what happened the day before, we can't help but laugh at ourselves.

Magdalene, indeed taught me something. My second year life taught me something.

So, I would like to thank EVERYONE who made my second year life happy namely:

SYD you sexy thing you, Alyssa, Allen, Eudes, Ara, Arwin, Frans, Francis, Janjan, Kyle, Wilbur, Kyna, Eloisa, Criselle, Arselyn, Robelle, Trisha, Roda, Michelle, Sarah, Raymart, Albert, Riched, Mark, Regina, MeAnne, Maan, Nilleth, Thea, Ria, Josef, Gabo, Jeylo, Mark, Raymart, ate Pat, ate Pat (another one. xD), Reymarc, Paulo, Rick, Denzel, Penpen, JC, gay, gay, gay (3 different people), Krista, Cae, Nads, Augustinian Herald, Fr. Willie, Sir Rocky, Miss Nenen, Miss Bayotas, Miss Bueno, Sir Caberte, Miss Gallano, Miss Bries, Miss Lebanan, Sir Raymond, Miss Adviento, Miss Bermudez, Miss Bandril, Miss Roe-Anne, Miss Miralles, Miss Reyes, God.

THANK YOU!

I can't believe it.

I was able to look at her ugly face for fifteen minutes and I feel absolutely nothing. Not even grossed out by her slutty photos. :)

I guess my stomach's improving, then.

Secret Valentine

It's been a week. I just can't stop listening to the song Secret Valentine by We the Kings. I even looked up covers done by people on YouTube and they were all great. I've never been hooked like this to a song. The melody is just so perfect to the ears. =)

Fate ordains that dearest friends must part. -Edward Young

Don't be dismayed at goodbyes। A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetime, is certain for those who are friends. ~Richard Bach

I can clearly remember the first day of classes as if it just happened yesterday. June 10, Monday morning. I wasn't like the other kids who were excited for the start of classes. I wasn't dreading it either. It was just... that. I've seen the class list two weeks before classes started so I already knew who my classmates are. It was almost the same people. Only about 10 or so were from different sections last year. I remembered feeling relieved that I am still with the same people. The people who got in were familiar to me. I'm even good friends with some of them.

Upon entering the classroom, a vast change came before my eyes. First, the classrooms have changed. I was told that we had whiteboards now but I never got the chance to peek in the new classrooms. The windows were different too. The room was a bit noisy, considering that everyone was talking all at once, sharing some summer stories. The usual thing.

Around 7AM, our adviser, Miss Ana EstraƱero, went inside the classroom. Everybody quieted down, of course. Although I'm not familiar with a lot of second year teachers, I knew Miss EstraƱero because she became a proctor during our exams in freshmen year. She started writing the class schedule. I was glad because most of the teachers' names were familiar. I sighed with relief. It was also the same day that we got to meet our subject teachers.

That was the beginning of my adventure as a second year student.

Class elections. We were all set to nominate and vote Criselle as our president but sadly, being a level representative, she can't be our class president. Someone voted Wilbur as a joke. I'm not the "go with the flow" type, but I voted Wilbur. He won, and I wasn't sure he was happy with that. After all, who would be happy when you get nominated as a joke?

The first contest our class ever had was the PE intersection. Rhythmic gymnastics competition, to be specific. We were so determined that we didn't hesitate to practice outside Eloisa's house, on the street. We even gave our Saturday just to practice in the covered court of Rosario Complex. Our hardwork definitely paid off, because we won as champion. The taste of success was definitely sweet!

That was just the beginning.

A lot of things happened inside the four walls of MH 110, where Bl. Magdalene of Albrici resides. As a class, we've had our share of laughter, tears, and cramming moments. I'm really glad that I am a member of Mamma Mia Magdalenos. I have enjoyed every minute I am with Magdalene. The ten months of togetherness seemed like just a month. I will certainly miss all the jokes and fun we had especially my "sessions" with Syd and the gang. I will also miss the jokes or banats of Arwin.

Definitely, next year, some of us won't be classmates anymore, but I hope that we won't forget we were once a Mamma Mia Magdalenos. ;D

Bowling

So, that's my South Park version. In case you want to make one, you should check out: http://www.sp-studio.de/index.htm

Finally! The fourth periodical exams are over. School is over. No more tests. Somehow, I feel happy and relieved. I was able to survive my second year of high school! =)

The last day of the exams was on the 14th. A Saturday. Yep. Waking up early on a weekend doesn't bother me because I always wake up early on weekends no matter how late I stay up. The exam started at 7:30 and ended at 10:30. Goody.

After the exam, Arselyn, Alyssa and I waited for the rest because we were
going bowling. Thea and Roda's group were also going out and they invited us to go with them. They said that they'll treat us too. Although I want a treat, I gladly declined the offer because we're not really with them, nor are we that close to them. Yes, manners, please.

When we arrived in Pacita, we started talking about where to eat. I t
old them that Shakeys would be a good place to eat, and they were fine with it. Frans joined us in Shakeys.

We had a problem with ordering. But finally, we decided on this group meal which consisted of spaghetti, chicken wings and mojos, and a thin crust pepperoni pizza. Yumyum. Annnd, it only costs 999 pesos! So, we pooled in some money since we're 7 all in all.

This was the spaghetti. It tasted yummy!

Frans loved the spaghetti so much. In fact, we call it the Sensual Spaghetti because he's sweating!

The yummy pepperoni pizza.

Eudes texted me, saying that his Mom allowed him to go with us. I started to reply at his text but I got distracted and I never realized that I didn't reply to his message until he called me. Yes, he called. Apparently, Eudes is a rich kid. When he called, he was already on his way to Festival. We were just going to start our meal. Oh well, there's nothing we can do about it right?

In the middle of the meal, the waiter asked us what year we are. We said 2nd year.

Guy: Oh, I thought you were 4th years. I was going to ask you when is your graduation.
Frans: -after swallowing some spaghetti- Oh, I know! FEBRUARY 28, po!
Arselyn: February 28?

S'okay, it was stupid. But it got us laughing. Even the waiter laughed at us. Frans said that it should have been on video. How are we supposed to know he was going to say something like that?

We left Shakeys at almost a quarter to one. We suddenly remembered Eudes! So anyway, we paid, and then the guy said that it's not just 999, but instead it's 1,088.20 pesos! We forgot the tax. After paying, we left Shakeys and rode a van going to Festi. We were so noisy in the van. Plus, we occupied like 3/4ths of the vehicle.

We arrived in Festi at a bit past one. I texted Eudes to meet us at Gameworx. So there, when we
arrived, there wasn't anyone yet. I was a bit nervous since it's my first time to bowl. Anyway, here are the pictures:

In this Kaleidoscope World

RIP Francis "Kiko" Magalona
1964-2009

I just have to put that in there. I used a line from his song Kaleidoscope world. Anyway, he died a week ago, so I'm a bit late. I wanted to go to his funeral because they're allowing the public to visit him. Sadly, it was during the CEM exams, and there are going to be a lot of people on weekends. Besides, Dad doesn't want to go. So meh.

I'm listening to his song Kaleidoscope world right now. I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of rap, but he's good. Now that he's gone, "Bagsakan" is not going to be complete now.

He has done a lot in the Philippines. In fact, he has this store called Lokalidad which sells nationalist shirts. I am yet to buy one. I've been eyeing this shirt since the first time I saw their booth in Alabang.

To FrancisM, you'll always have a special place in everyone's hearts.

I've been dancing around the truth

The NAT exam is finally over. To tell you honestly, I was nervous for this exam. It's my first time to take this kind of exam and everyone is making a big deal out of it. In my point of view, it's just an exam. The difference though is that we'll get ranked among the other examiners from all over the country. Sounds big, right?

Anyway, I don't really want to blog about the NAT. Do you seriously want to read about something like that? An exam?

Let me just say that, as all exams go, it wasn't easy.

Hmm, so I've been thinking. It's ALMOST the end of the school year. Next year, I'll be a "junior". I don't want that. It means that Magdalene would be separated. Some would transfer schools, and some would placed in a different section. I don't want that. Our bond is different comparing it to last year's. I liked my freshman year so much. The teachers were great, and so was my section. This year, is different. To say that it's better is an understatement.

I'm going to devote a whole blog entry to Magdalene. :)

I see my vision burn.

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE HAPPY HEDDA?
Tell me.

So, hai.

It's past 7:30 PM and I just woke up. Classes were cut short and I arrived home at 3:30. I was so exhausted that I fell asleep. The air conditioning was on at full blast because it was so hot. Hm. I played like this game on PSP for a few minutes but I really got sleepy. I'm not sure why I was so tired though. I barely did anything today. Maybe it's an effect of sleeping at 3:00 AM last Sunday (or Monday, more appropriately).

Well, NAT and the final exams are coming up. I've studied in the major subjects but I doubt that anything entered my brain. I'd probably reread everything I've studied and make reviewers. I really want to get a high grade this fourth quarter. My Math grade went down 2 points, although my monthly exams and periodical exam score is high enough. I can be a bit grade conscious especially in subjects I'm most likely to fail. I'm azn, what do you expect? :)

So, I got back the letter I did for the contest today. Did I mention that the contest is going to be a national and then international one? I didn't? Well now you know. I'm not really sure I wanna enter it now, but it's going to be worth huge points. Besides, it's something worth trying out to.

Hide and Seek

Mr. Lazy is attacking me again. I was planning to blog about the CEM last Friday but I can't think straight. I already blogged in my Multiply, but it was pointless.

Just for those who don't know, CEM stands for Center for Educational Measurement. They give us an exam to measure our intelligence particulary in the major subjects: Math, Science, Reading, and Language. It's a standardized exam with the questions ranging from the first quarter topic up to the last quarter topic.

Uhm yeah, that's all for now.

Lazy, lazy, lazy.

I'm the first to admit that I'm lazy. People don't need to tell me I'm lazy. I know it, I'm aware of it. It's just that even though I try to focus myself on doing something, I seem to drift off and do something else. Something which is of lesser importance and yet I'd be able to finish it. Like now. I should be rewriting my letter for the contest but look what I'm doing, I'm blogging. I keep on taking breaks though and adding a few sentences here and there. I'm sure I'd do better if I stop procrastinating and do something with great concentration. If you cut off the internet on my computer, I'd probably freak out. I've had the internet since I was in 4th grade, and now, I can't seem to leave or not get in touch with my computer even for a day.

I'm jealous of people who have the sense of initiative in their beings. In such a way that even though they're in the computer, they don't get carried away by the treats it give.

I hope I'd be one of them someday.

Oh green! <3

I'm loving the template I chose for my blogspot. It's so greeeen. Green is my favorite color in case you can't tell. :D

Foundation Week

Finally! I had the time to blog about Foundation week. This week had been so crazy, it's amazing that I still have time to blog. But I'm procrastinating, and that's not new.

*February 23, Monday
We had no classes.

*February 24, Tuesday
We were supposed to have a mass for the opening of the Foundation Week, but they cancelled it which was fine for me. We passed our Pedigree Charts which I did during the morning. It was also the opening of the club booths and our club had a problem! So there, cramming, cramming. There was no jalibooth yet because the CAT were in some competition. Then we had lunch at 12:00, although some of us ate earlier. Had a short meeting with Miss Bandril regarding the international writing contest. I'm so excited for it, even though I know that I don't have a good chance of making it.

At 1:00, the whole high school watched an independent film entitle "Ang Daan Patungong Kalimugtong" or the Road to Kalimugtong. It was a great movie. It's my first time to watch an indie film, so I was shocked for the lack of effects and other stuff. Although, it was raw, that's why I enjoyed it. I don't know what kind of movie I should call it. There were some funny scenes, but most of the time, it revolves around the life of two Ifugaoan kids.

When it ended we went back to our booths. Uh-oh! The Jailbooth was being set up!

*Feb. 25, Wednesday
We had a mass because it was the Ash Wednesday. After that, it was time for the room to room candidacy of those running for the AYC. We had Math, and when I got my testpaper, I got a 39/40! Bingo! One mistake. I'm not good in Math that's why I am so happy. But it turns out that I had another correction, so my score is only 38. Oh well. I did well, and that's what counts.

During lunch time, to avoid the jail booth, we passed by the Rada hall. We even ran. Alyssa and I didn't get caught so we were fine. Ate lunch inside the classroom. We don't really want to leave because we might get caught. We're 'fraidy cats.

Anyway, we were setting up our booths, when Miss Sanghel decided that we just spend the day on rides. It's time we had fun. Oh well. Miks was there. Oh god. He's so gorgeous. Yuuum. So there, I stayed inside the classroom with a bunch of people.

There was a moment between Miks and I. It was one of the best days of my life. He's a bit of a crazy person, and maybe what he did was joke. But it did made me shiver, and well, tingly all inside. He didn't kiss me. He pinched my cheeks up to the point that it was ticklish and telling that I was cute. Okay. Enough shallowness.

Another highlight of the day was the BATTLE OF THE BANDS! Hell yeah! Here are some pictures:

Best friend Frans and I. He's a rockstarr.

It was so much fun! Only that my servicemate's band didn't win although among the bands, they were my favorite! It's not a biased opinion, they were good! Their band was called Hue Turn. There were 3 bands coming from the 2nd year, and they were good too. The fourth year bands were awesome. Frans' brother is a great drummer. He's so cool!

*Feb. 26, Thursday
We had the Meeting de Avance for the elections. We gave our best in cheering for Arwin. It turns out, he's the one and only independent candidate running. Some of his answers were funny, but that was typical Arwin. My favorite one was when he was asked about the problem being encountered by the department and he tackled on bullying. He even told Miss Velasco "keep up the good work"! Then there was this part when he said that some of the younger levels are scared of the older levels because they were taller and more... macho. We were like, "omg, that's so gay". I guess Arwin just can't find the accurate term to use. After the meeting de avance, we had our recess then we had to go back to the Audigym for the DocUniversity.

The DocUniversity was something we didn't expect. Bernadette Sembrano and Abner Mercado from the Correspondents visited the school. It's a shame that we were seated at the back. The seminar was not that long and it didn't really feel like a seminar, which is a good thing. The only disappointment I have is that I'm a Kapuso and they are under the Kapamilya network. But hey, I DO know them so that's what matters!

*Feb. 27, Friday
Classes were until 10:00 AM only. The only reason we had to go to school was to vote and do the integrated project. After voting, we started filming for our music video and commercial. The filming was so much fun! Only that there was this annoying guy who kept on butting in during our shooting and ruining one scene. He was so annoying!

So far, this Foundation week had been a short one, or rather, it felt like a short one. The booths were only set up for 2 days and then we had other stuff to do. I guess this year is really a busy year for everyone of us. But this was the funnest Foundation week I've ever had. I know, I know, I keep on saying that almost every year. But seriously, this year is probably the MOST memorable one. (:

Thank you for everyone who made my foundation week a great one. Whether you ruined it, or not.
